Adventures of a novice gardener in fairyland: We chose our house because of its established garden with plants from all over the world. What learning opportunity it has been! In the first year, we identified more than two hundred unique species--everything from natives to cultivars and exotics. We're gradually increasing the percentage of native plants, replacing invasive species and the last bit of lawn, while preserving the structure, variety and wonder that surrounds us. The garden is always active, ever changing, and a constant delight.
